Tank Chair

6 Aug 2013: In this article found at: http://www.autoblog.com/2011/01/24/disabled-aussie-man-has-wheelchair-banned-from-roads-because/ Jim Starr has this amazing wheelchair with tank wheels that can get him onto the beach and he is banned from using it because the wheelchair is too wide and too heavy to go on the public roads as it is now classified as a tank.

This wheelchair is awesome and I can't believe authorities can decide that Jim can or can't use it on the public roads.

They have taken this man's independence away. He now can't use the road to transport his wheelchair to the beach so I guess he can no longer enjoy the experience of being on the beach.

How amazing is it that people can make decisions without thinking about the ramifications it has on other people. Especially when it comes to independence and mobility, the impact of a no, can really limit someone's options.
